AP - The former chief financial officer of a major U.S. home builder accused of committing accounting fraud five years ago is giving back roughly $1.4 million in bonuses and stock profits.

AP - The mere discussion of more economic stimulus from the Federal Reserve was enough to send stocks higher Tuesday. The Dow Jones industrial average had its third day of gains.

AP - MORE STIMULUS?: Stocks rose on hopes of more economic stimulus from the Fed. Minutes showed that Federal Reserve officials discussed a variety of options to bolster the economy at its Aug. 9 meeting, including buying more Treasury bonds. In the end, they decided to keep interest rates low until at least mid-2013.

Reuters - The former finance chief of Beazer Homes USA has agreed to reimburse the company for over $1.4 million that he earned in bonus payments and stock sale profits when the Atlanta-based homebuilder was committing accounting fraud, the SEC announced on Tuesday.

Reuters - Securities regulators approved BATS Global Markets’ plan to list shares and take on the NYSE and Nasdaq in one of their bread-and-butter businesses, the privately held exchange said on Tuesday.
